This is part of the outreach we have promised to do in the proposal. We have agreed to participate in an existing RET program at LSU, the LaMSTI program (info can be found at <a href="http://lamsti.mspnet.org/">http://lamsti.mspnet.org/</a> and details on the program can be provided by Dana Browne, who is a participant in the program). The LaMSTI program allows teachers to get a Master's Degree from LSU in Natural Science. We will be working with teachers in LaMSTI's physics/chemistry cohort. It is a 3 year program, mainly during the summer. We are looking for 3 volunteers to make a two year commitment to the program and 3 additional volunteers to make a three year commitment to the program. As a volunteer, you would serve as a mentor for one teacher and help with mentoring for other members of a cohort.
